Cursaí Samhraidh 2021 – AR CEALL

D’fhógair an t-aire stáit Jack Chambers TD, inniu (7ú Bealtaine 2021) nach mbeidh cursaí samhraidh Gaeltachta ag dul ar aghaidh in 2021 mar gheall ar an imní shuntasach faoi shláinte agus faoi sábháilteacht theaghlaigh Ghaeltachta agus phobail áitiúla i dtaca le COVID-19 dá reachtálfaí na cúrsaí gaeilge.

Tá an-áiféala orainn gur tharla sé arís i mbliana go háraithe toisc gur cuireadh cúrsaí na bliana seo caite ar ceall freisin. Tá siúl againn go mbeidh an vacsáin ag móramh don daonra faoi dheireadh na bliana seo agus nach mbeidh an ceist céanna dhá phléigh againn arís i 2022.

Beidh Coláiste Chiaráin ag déanamh socraithe maidir le h-aisíoc táillí agus freisin, chun an deis a thabhairt do scoláirí áit a chur ináirithe do samhradh 2022. Tá súil againn a bheith i dteagmháil roimh deire na míosa le tuileadh eolas maidir leis na socraithe uilig ina dtaobh sin. Coinnigh súil ar an suíomh le bhur dtoil le haghaidh uasdhátaithe. Beimid buíoch duit as a bheith foighneach linn!

Minister of state Jack Chambers TD announced today (7th May 2021) that Gaeltacht summer courses will not go ahead in 2021 due to significant concerns about the health and safety of Gaeltacht families and local communities in relation to COVID- 19 if the Irish language courses were held.

We are very disappointed that the courses have been cancelled again this year. We hope that the majority of the population will have been vaccinated by the end of 2021 and that we will not be in the same position again in 2022.

Coláiste Chiaráin will be putting a process in place regarding the refund of fees, while at the same time allowing students the opportunity to make advance bookings for Summer 2022. We hope to be in touch with those that have already booked, before the end of the month with more details. Please keep an eye on the website for updates. We appreciate your patience!

Idir seo agus sin bí sábháilte agus tabhair aire,

Seán agus Cóilín
